Policy Starter Language
Practical starter language for deposits, balances, changes, cancellation, pickup, delivery, and allergies.
This is practical starter wording, not legal advice. Adapt it to your business, local rules, and comfort level.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date. Your date is not held until the deposit is received.
Balance
The remaining balance is due before pickup or delivery. Orders with unpaid balances may be delayed or cancelled.
Changes
Design, flavor, serving count, pickup, and delivery changes must be requested as early as possible. Changes may affect the final price and are not guaranteed once supplies or production work has started.
Cancellation
Deposits reserve time, planning, and supply purchases, so deposits are not refundable. Cancellation terms for any remaining balance depend on timing and work already completed.
Pickup And Delivery
Pickup and delivery windows must be confirmed before the order is finalized. Once the cake leaves the bakery or is delivered, the client is responsible for safe handling unless setup service is included.
Allergies
Please notify the bakery of allergies before the order is confirmed. Cakes may be prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens.
