Deposit and Agreement Language
Starter wording for deposit, balance, cancellation, change, allergy, pickup, and delivery expectations.
This is practical template language, not legal advice. Bakers should adapt it to their location, business rules, and comfort level.
Simple Deposit Policy
A non-refundable deposit of $deposit is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance of $balance is due by date. Your order is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
Balance Due Language
The remaining balance is due by date. Orders with unpaid balances may not be completed, delivered, or released until payment is received.
Cancellation Language
Deposits reserve time on the calendar and are non-refundable. Orders cancelled within number days of the event may still require full or partial payment depending on supplies purchased and work already completed.
Change Request Language
Design, serving count, flavor, pickup/delivery, or date changes may affect the final price and availability. Please request changes as early as possible. Changes requested within number days of the event may not be available.
Allergy Language
Please notify Bakery Name of any allergies before the order is confirmed. Cakes may be prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, or other ingredients.
Pickup Language
The client is responsible for picking up the cake during the agreed pickup window. Once the cake leaves Bakery Name, the client is responsible for safe transport, storage, and handling.
Delivery Language
Delivery is available only when confirmed in the quote. Delivery fees, setup fees, travel time, and venue requirements may affect the final total.
Agreement Approval Text
By approving this quote and sending the deposit, the client confirms the order details, event date, pickup/delivery terms, deposit policy, balance due date, and design notes listed above.
